Anyone who has driven or walked down Memorial Dr. probably recognizes the Atlanta Dairies. The Parmalat signs still cling to the brick. The windows are broken and works of graffiti art line the walls inside and out but not for long. There are plans to turn the old buildings into an adaptive reuse project complete with a bowling alley, music venues, a beer garden, offices, apartments and more.
I am glad I got the chance to document what the Atlanta Dairies factory still looks like before all of the construction begins. Post apocalyptic seems like an apt description but not to say without a certain mystery and beauty.
