The Sandy Springs Society is a charitable organization of women that was founded in March 1988 to support programs that improve the quality of life for the residents of Sandy Springs. Through its yearly grant process, the organization supports Heritage Sandy Springs and other non-profits in the community that promote the arts, heritage, education, the environment and social services. One of the organizations biggest fundraisers of the year is Tossed Out Treasures. Clothing, furniture, home furnishings, children’s items, electronics, appliances and all sorts of other items are donated to the society for them to sell over the weekend.
This year, nearly 25 non-profits will benefit from the proceeds gathered at the shopping bonanza and their other fundraising events. The list is quite impressive and covers a wide range of topics. Have something that you want to donate? Reach Out. Or do your good deed next year and help out your neighbors. Take a trip to Sandy Springs and go shopping for a good cause.
