Fran Tarkenton an Athens Hometown Hero

Fran Tarkenton went home on Tuesday. The former New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings quarterback and Pro Football Hall of Famer visited his old alma mater at Clarke Central High School, formerly Athens High School, to present the school with a hometown heroes hall of fame plaque. Clarke Central is only the 99th high school across the nation to become inducted into the program and Tarkenton spoke to the importance of dedication, perseverance, teamwork and all of the other qualities that he says can be found in each of us.
