For years Pullman Yard has had a draw on me that I cannot explain. I have pined away, talking myself out of breaking the law countless times to trespass on the acres of grounds that once held one of Atlanta’s greatest train yards. My patience has finally been rewarded (although for sad reasons) and I was able to photograph the grounds at my leisure. I spent hours scouring the grounds, looking at the graffiti, finding all of the nooks and crannies, searching through every doorway and every building. The news unfortunately is that the train yard is on the chopping block for redevelopment and although there are no set plans made as of yet, the place that holds a special place in my heart is about to change. But before it does, come take a look inside Pullman Yard.
