JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes

Saturday, October 20, 2012

Thousands of people came to Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta on Saturday to participate in the 2012 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. The walk, which helped raise money for Type 1 diabetes research, included numerous families from all over Georgia that are dealing with young children who have been diagnosed with the disease. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was started in 1970 and since then has awarded $1.6 billion dollars towards research. I photographed the walk for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
