If you’ve been following the website as of late you will have definitely seen a bunch of holiday and Christmas related photos. It continues today with the annual Children’s Christmas Parade.
Saturday morning was beautiful, bright and sunny. A perfect day for a parade. Especially one with a chance to see jolly Old Saint Nick. Marching bands, gigantic balloons, cartoon characters, patients and dogs, even llamas, pirates and storm troopers made their way down Peachtree St. from 16th all the way down to 5th streets all leading up to seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus riding on a sleigh pulled by a giant Rudolph.
For me, the parade always brings to mind the scene from A Christmas Story (my favorite holiday movie) where Ralphie and his family watch Santa in snow covered streets before going into the store to stand in line where ultimately his hopes of a Red Rider BB Gun are dashed by the man in red.
