In this day and age it seems that myself and everyone I know is somehow affected by breast cancer. A friend, a family member, it seems to be one of the most prevalent forms of cancer in the modern world. Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure has been on the forefront for raising money for breast cancer research for years. Each major city in the United States runs their own race and this past Saturday, over 14,000 survivors, racers and supporters came out to participate in the Atlanta one near Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead. Starting early in the morning the race brought out tutus and pink as racers made their way through the 5k course. It was an emotional day for many who ran in honor and memory of loved ones.
