After two days of intense work, late nights and little sleep, the participants of the Weather Channel’s Hackathon were ready to present their ideas and their apps to a panel of judges. This is just one example of how large companies are trying to stay relevant in a highly competitive and short attention span world of the digital age that we live in today. The premise is simple. Gather all of the troops, give them a short deadline and tell them to create something innovative and hopefully money making…
