I photographed the Pink Pig outside of the Macy’s department store at Lenox Square in Atlanta on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. For more than 50 years, Atlantans have started their holiday traditions by riding the Macy’s Pink Pig. The train is located on top of the Lenox Square Mall. Atlanta’s most unique and beloved holiday tradition rides beneath the signature 170-foot, 1950’s themed Pink Pig Tent. Since 1953, Macy’s Pink Pig has been delighting generations of Atlantans. Priscilla tells a life-sized storybook featuring herself and her friends. A portion of the ride’s proceeds will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. These are some of my favorite images.
