Opening day was crazy at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken. With a line winding out the front door at times, it seemed as if everyone in Atlanta wanted to see what all of the fuss was about.
A haze of flour filled the air in the kitchen as cooks tried to keep up with the massive amount of orders. The sizzling sounds of chicken and okra and french fries being fried filled my ears as I tried to stay out of the way while capturing the action.
Gus’s (yes it is spelled this way) sits inside the Mall at Peachtree Center in downtown. Want some down home southern food done right? Well now you know where to go!
