Roswell Water Plant

Thursday, April 10, 2013

The water plant at Waller Park in Roswell, Georgia may be getting a facelift soon. Plans are in the works for early next January to update the 80 year old facility. Currently the plant can process and treat 2.8 million gallons of water taken from Big Creek, which runs below the facility, each day. Stringent tests are performed on the water as it enters and exits the plant multiple times a day. The new facility would include a 10 million gallon storage facility that would allow residents of the city not to have to pay extra taxes to Fulton County when the water levels in the creek become lower. I had the chance to spend an hour or so with a couple of the employees at the plant as they explained how the treatment process works.
