I am not what you would call a boat person. Yes they are fun and yes they make for a good time on a hot summer day in Georgia but I do not pine after them and I do not want to spend what some spend on a house to be able to be mobile on a lake. That being said I can see the attraction to owning a boat. Regardless of where ever you stand on what I will call the boat issue there are plenty of opportunities to check out the new offerings for 2014 around Atlanta. Whether you prefer pontoons, runabouts, cruisers, fishing or something a little faster, there are shows throughout the spring, summer and fall including the brand new Spring Into Summer Boat Show which is where I wound up Sunday morning. The boat show lasted from Friday through Sunday at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth with close to 30 vendors from Allatoona, Gainesville, Kennesaw and of course Lake Lanier. Boats of all shapes and sizes were on display as well as jet skis, wake boards, lake associations and marinas. I could think of worse places to be on a Sunday morning.
