Election night is always hectic for those in the news business. I myself was in Roswell covering voting and Karen Handel’s election party until after midnight. Handel was running for one of the U.S. Senate seats and was one of three favored to be placed in a runoff slot. A little over 100 of Handel’s friends and supporters hung out at the DoubleTree Hotel off of Holcomb Bridge Rd. crossing their fingers in hopes that she would take the slot. Results were slow coming in from precincts north of Atlanta which led to me being out to early the next morning.
