I woke up Wednesday with my legs aching a little. I had spent the past two days hiking at Amicalola State Park in Dawsonville and Sweetwater Creek State Park in Lithia Springs. Instead of laying around and resting I decided one more hike was in order and was super excited about heading to Lithonia to check out Arabia Mountain. I had never been before but it has always been on my list of places to try. I can say I was definitely not disappointed! The daisies were blooming in patches along the trail of cairns leading up the bald face of granite. The sun was shining blue and the air was crisp. I was a little nervous about being able to capture photos of hikers as there were very few cars in the lot. That being said it was nice to be able to hike with my own thoughts for a while and work out the stiffness in my legs and the stress in my mind. A return visit is definitely in order and I’m thinking about going again after a hard rain so that the small basins are full of water making it easy to capture fun reflection photos!
