Sunday morning the skies continued to pour rain and bad weather in the Atlanta area. Unfortunately that meant the World War II Heritage Days at Falcon Field in Peachtree City was going to be wet. And wet meant that a lot of the activities that were scheduled to happen may not. There was going to be a mock battle between the Allies and Axis powers featuring period re-enactors. There were also supposed to be WWII era airplanes and the ability to take to the skies.
The rain caused some issues but that didn’t stop people from coming to catch some of the talks on the Doolittle Raids and Tuskegee Airmen or the numerous amounts of memorabilia, posters, weapons, and everything else under the sun on display.
