The Savannah College of Art and Design has been working on a project for a while now called SCAD Pads. A collaboration between students, faculty and staff at the Atlanta campus, these pads are self sufficient, tiny homes. 12 people were allowed to live in these homes, constructed in a blocked off section of the school’s parking deck, for varying degrees of time over the past year. As of now they stand empty and waiting for the next round of residents but are continuing to be used for educational purposes from grade school through college.
