Week of Food: Day 1

I photographed a bunch of restaurants for the Virginia-Highlands Patch over the past two days. In doing so I have decided to post a week of food and restaurant photos. So for Day 1 I am featuring Noche, a Spanish and southwest influenced tapas bar. The restaurant is colorful and open and the bar area features over 50 different tequilas as well as monthly drink specials. Noche is a part of the Here to Serve restaurant conglomerate owned by master chef Tom Catherall. These are my favorite images of the restaurant.

Noche serves up the saffron paella with shrimp, chicken, Spanish sausage, mussels, yellow rice and peas. Also served is the original mojito.

Noche is located at 1000 Virginia Ave. N.E. and offers patrons table, booth and bar seating as well as a full bar and outdoor patio.

Noche serves up the carne asada with grilled skirt steak on a bed of fried tobacco onions and a balsamic glaze.

Noche offers patrons table and booth seating as well as an outdoor patio.

Noche serves up the sun burnt tuna steak with mole amarillo on a bed of chipotle mashed potatoes.

Noche offers patrons an extensive bar with over 50 different types of tequilas as well as monthly drink specials.
