I absolutely love small towns in Georgia. You never really know what you’re going to find until you get there and you won’t get there unless you get off the highway.
I was on my way back from Augusta on Friday and my spidey senses started tingling as I saw an exit sign for Norwood. I did a quick search and saw that the town was not even a square mile and had 299 residents since the last census. It would be absolutely perfect in my mind. I must say I wasn’t disappointed. A short three mile detour from my ride home and I was standing in the middle of downtown Norwood.
The buildings were amazing. Old town. Small town. Dilapidated. Perfect. Norwood is a piece of Americana that is slowly starting to disappear in the fast paced world we live in today.
