MARTA is hopping on the Transit Oriented Development train with its first TOD project in the Edgewood neighborhood of Atlanta. Spoke is just a stones throw away from the rail station off of LaFrance St. As of now the first stage of the development is nearing completion. Part of the residential apartments are already occupied and construction crews are working to finish up the salt water pool and patio area, the main floor entry space with a bar made from a shipping container and the fifth floor Sky Deck and Lounge. Once that is done, construction will begin on the second and third stages which include a green space park and retail shopping. If Spoke is any indication, MARTA may have a veritable goldmine on their hands.
